Gamers with big hearts making big differences for families

Yearly Tournament

We put on a yearly Mario Kart tournament as a mens group to not only have fellowship but also to raise money to help give a good Christmas to a single parent family or one that’s gone through significant loss such as a house fire. The tournament is open to anyone, not just the men in the group. We want the wives, kids, everyone to jump in. The tournament is all for fun and just a friendly competition among friends, not to be taken too seriously. It’s meant for laughs, a good time, and especially pizza. We will stream the tournament, and donations to the cause are always welcome but never expected. Shells will be thrown, bananas will be slipped on, but at the end of the night it’s all about the kids

The Gift

Working in connection with local churches, fire, and police- we will select as many families as we can to give the gift of gaming to. We aim to give the parent the newest Nintendo console with appropriate games and everything they will need to have a special Christmas morning. While we realize we can’t help every family, we strive to give back as much as we can and make some special Christmas wishes come true for families that maybe otherwise would not have been able to make this happen

The Message

As men we are called to be leaders in our community and help those around us. In particular, we are called to help widows and struggling parents. Far too often we are hit with situations beyond our control. Loss can be tragic in all its various forms, but sometimes we are able to make a little glimmer of light even within those situations. All games provided with the gifted console will be family friendly so everyone - no matter the age(even grandma!), can join in on the fun. We believe that making a few small changes for some kids and families today can help make the world a happier place tomorrow

That Special Memory

For many gamers, one of the best memories for us was grabbing that special gift under the tree on Christmas and seeing that brand new console under the wrapping paper. We rushed to hook it up and and within moments were immersed in worlds far away. Far away from the troubles that surrounded us in reality. We took in our hands the control and it taught us valuable life lessons about teamwork, friendly competition, learning new skills, and perseverance to overcome obstacles that at first seem impossible.

The realities of that time…

Looking back now as adults we realize how hard that was for a lot of our parents. We didn’t realize how hard they were struggling financially to make that dream into a reality for us. Sad truth is however that some parents, especially those in single income situations - affording that video game console can seem very similar to that impossible to defeat fire breathing dragon. That’s where we hope to make a difference. As a group of men, we aim to pull together and help a single mom or dad conquer this level! Together we believe if we all chip in a little, we can make a big difference for some families. We can not only give them these same good memories we have, but also hopefully make a way for brothers, sisters, parent and child to bond

Together we can make a big difference in a kid’s Christmas
